This is genuinely urgent. The income tax department sends all notices, refund confirmations and compliance alerts to your registered email. If that inbox is dead you are missing official communication without knowing it. Unresponded notices can escalate to penalty orders. My PAN email change request was processed but I am still not receiving OTP on the new email during ITR filing. What could be wrong?
Check your spam or junk folder first as income tax portal emails frequently get filtered.
